ONLINE BILL PAYMENT SYSTEM LAUNCH APRIL 26, 2025

On April 26, Fayette Water Company is pleased to announce the launch of its new online billing and payment service. Members who use the online bill pay, PayClix, will need to re-register in the new payment Customer Portal. The PayClix customer portal will no longer be available after April 25. You may re-register beginning April 26.
As always, if you prefer to pay your bills with cash, a check, at the First National Bank of Brownstown during business hours or in the night deposit, by phone or in person at our office in Brownstown, you don’t have to change anything. These options aren’t going anywhere but check out the features added with this new system for your convenience listed on the last page in case you are interested in utilizing any of them.
Signing up for the Fayette Water Company Customer Portal
By signing up for the Fayette Water Company Customer Portal you will be able to view, print, and pay your bills online. You will also be able to view your bill, payment, and usage history.
- Go to the following website: https://fayettewater.authoritypay.com or to the BILL PAYMENT button found on this website.
2. Click on Register.
- Enter your Account Number and CID which can be found on your bill. You will also need to enter a valid email address and password. Your account number can be found on your billing statement. It will remain the same except for the addition of the suffix -0. For example, account 45 will now be 45-0. CID (Customer ID): Every customer is assigned a customer identification number which can also be found on your bill. You will only need this ID for registration.
If you want to re-register prior to receiving your bill and want to know your CID or need assistance in locating the CID on your bill, please contact our office and we can assist you.
- A Registration Confirmation window will appear. No action is needed on this window. The Verification Email will only be active for 4 Hours and will require you to verify your email within that 4-hour time window.
5. You will also receive an email confirmation. You must click on the link provided in the email to complete the enrollment.

- After clicking on the verification link embedded in the email, you will be redirected to the Account Verification screen. Click on the green ‘Click to Verify’ button to complete verification.
- You should now see a green message confirming verification was successful. Now you can then re-enter your email and password and select Login to access your Customer Portal Account.
During this transition, some late fees may not have been added to PayClix and applied to your account balance. Any late fees not paid in the PayClix customer portal will be applied to your next bill.
The following are new features being added to our system for your convenience:
- Pay your water bill anytime 24/7 via an easy-to-use online portal.
- At a glance dashboard to view bills, check balance and choose from a variety of secure online payment methods: E-check/ACH, Credit/Debit – Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Venmo, PayPal Credit, PayPal, G Pay, and Apple Pay. The following fees will apply:
- E-check/ACH - $1.50 flat
- Credit/Debit/Venmo, PayPal Credit, PayPal, G Pay, and Apply Pay - $42.45 to $93.38 will be a minimum of $2.75. All payments over $93.38 have a 2.95% fee applied.
- Manage your account and view up to two years of payment history (as they become available).
- Receive email reminders when your bill is ready, when a scheduled payment is pending and confirmation after making a payment.
- Make a one-time payment or register to gain access to all features.
- Choose when to pay – simply schedule a payment for any future date (before the due date) to pay a fixed amount or the invoice balance on a specific date of the month.
- Set and forget it with AutoPay – save time and automatically pay your invoice amount on the due date and avoid late or missed payments.
- On the go? Use Pay by Text to get text notifications about your bill and have the option to pay through text message with your default payment method.
- Paperless billing will continue to be available.
- Pay by Phone (IVR) – Dial 855-574-1082 and follow the prompts to check your account balance or make a payment 24/7 via an automated payment line. A $0.95 surcharge will apply to IVR payments.
